Monday afternoon – the forty-three degree breeze is a quick reminder that winter is still an annoying stalker that just won’t take a hint. I continue the process of planning the record. Delays and the ever present “waiting game” are especially frustrating today. I’m sitting on a bounty of new material and all I want to do is bring the little ones to life – album direction, schedules and budget are just a few of the hurdles that must be cleared before real momentum can begin – patience has never been my strong suite.
In better news – the covers ep’s are moving at a swift pace and the first should be ready for release in late summer or early fall. Right now “Here Comes the Rain Again” is the only song I’m sure will be on this first one – the other 2 or 3 tunes will be announced soon. We’ve recorded 7 in all – now deciding which ones work together is the last step.
